A CD is always slower then an actual install
But you could try a wired mouse if you'd like. It might work.

Just a suggestion, but why don't you check out the Linux Forums? I have gotten lots of helpful answers to my questions there.

Thanks for the reply guys, i just had a bad feeling Paul woud say a wired mouse that's in the attic along with the other keyboards lol...
I agree with the linux forums but i think i would feel a bit snowed under and i feel that hellnoire/Paul would be better for me as he is fast and reliable with information
Thanks again guys

Well, I'm using a wireless mouse, a Logitech one and it's working fine.. so the only thing I could offer would be their forums as well. Unless you go under the menus and look for Mouse, and see if you can adjust the option to slow it down.

Thank you for your prompt replys i used a silvercrest wireless mouse and it's working normaly and i like that Salix has access to programs on a start menu on the left hand bottom of the screen, the cd eject and close is a nice touch when exiting, and i now have to find out why i can't access the internet,
Thanks again

Hahaha, did you set up your network? I did during the install so I wouldn't have to deal with the hassle afterwards. To set up networking after the fact, read this. and fill in the spots you need.
Also, it's not a Start menu... it's a menu
Yes I'm going to be a pr**k about that, but that's because the 'Start' menu is copyright MS. No other menus can be called Start legally apparently.

Thanks Paul lol ... this is what i come here for ... the knowledge and i try to learn something new each day ... i never knew that about the start menu...
as for networking my friend is here tomorrow and he's a network admin in his job .... and yes i know it's a lazy way to be .......
mind you .... you where kind in saying fill in the spots and not the gapping holes
Have a great day
