Thanks for the help all you guys gave me posting on the Linux forum..as im new to using Linux i decided to run Ubuntu from an external hard drive and keep xp and windows 7 where i can also run snow leopard on my main hard drive.. Raid 0 has caused a few problems so maybe i will get an old pc and put the other distros onto that as i would like to run as many as i can...
Im really pleased with the setup and how Ubuntu looks fresh and performs great for me..
