    Linux Download Manager-Steadyflow

    A new download manager called steadyflow is released for ubuntu linux.its in very early

    stage with the version 0.1.The interface resembles transmission Bittorent client.

    Thanks for the info kv777 as a complete newbie what is the advantage to this app, some of the comments mentioned that it was of no advantage over fire fox, for me it's curiosity as far as installs go i have had very few problems with Ubuntu..

    Yes... it does

    I'm not big on Transmission, but I use it as my torrent client under Linux. It's one of those things you love or hate. That being said, I still use DownThemAll under Linux just because I find it works amazingly well.

    As of know i too dont see any advantage over firefox dm but its developer seems to have high aims of nurturing it into an great standalone download manager,which i think is lacking under

    linux.You could see this earlier article about it on the same site.

    i also use Downloadthemall both under linux and windows its a great appplication.

    Thanks Kv777 for the additional information, interesting to learn something new, as i like Linux and have seen some great distro's since been on the forum, im sure this application will only develop, further so i will, look out for it... thank you once again for keepping us informed
