$ prompt on kubuntu?

im a newbie
where is the $ prompt on kubuntu where u can run commands like cat, cd,rm .etc.?

From what i understand you are talking about terminal.it can be found here.

1. Goto System --> Preferences --> Keyboard Shortcuts.
2. Under Desktop category, choose Run a Terminal.
3. Now press the keys you want to set as your Keyboard Shortcut.(EXAMPLE: Ctrl + T)
4. Click close
5. Now the keys you chose are the Ubuntu Terminal Keyboard Shortcut Keys

Edit: just realized its Kubuntu not Ubuntu, put same principles apply as its the same in Linux Mint also.
