    no sound pclinuxos 2010.

    hi.i have a dell studio 1458 laptop.iam dual booting pclinux with windows7.the problem is no sound comes from the speakers.anyhelp will be greatly appreciated.thanks

    Open terminal and run:
    Code:
    lspci
    and copy/paste it's output here.
    pacman -Syyu life not found in sync db

    i tried editing modprobe.conf but that didn't work.i used alsaconf but it didn't work either.

    I wouldn't know then if you've modified them... your best bet would be their forum.
