Thanks LizardMan! I am going to add this to the list of Linux Distros I want to try out.

I'm going to give Debian a try soon. I had a look at its screenshots and looks nice. Debian is also known for having huge repositories and for being very stable. That's all I can tell so far. Just a thought: If you have a good internet connection don't waste your time download all the 8 DVDs. Just do a netisnt.

    Screw Google! Ask me!

Wonder how well it will play with my dual screen setup. Should work well, but then again, I won't know until I try.

My server's running Ubuntu Server, since Debian 5 had a static IP issue, and I decided to try Ubuntu Server instead.

To anyone who's running Debian 6, mind trying something for me? Set a static IP, then reboot after applying it. Then once it's back up, check to see if it still kept the static IP. (shouldn't matter if it's though the graphical utilities or not, all I want is to see if they fixed a lethal bug that is keeping me from using it as a server: the fact that it couldn't keep a static IP.)
pacman -Syyu life not found in sync db

Because I couldn't wait that long, I tried using a virtual PC to test and see if it would work. By the looks of it, the bug is still there.

Once you get the new PC built, are you going to turn the old PC into a dedicated Linux machine? I'm planning to do that myself.
