I don't like this release too
It takes 4-5 minutes to boot
Everything else seems to work fine on my laptop.

Vague questions don't get answers. How did it be "buggy"?

I was never all that fond of 10.10 either Lizard. The newer versions of Ubuntu seem to be designed to run better on newer hardware, and since I am not ready to replace my PC yet, I took hellnoire's advice and switched to Mandriva.

For now I have installed Linux Mint 10 LXDE but I think it's not for me. Downloading Mandriva right and hope to work well not as the last time I tried it. Maybe Debian will be the next to try

I also have Debian on my list of Linux Distros I want to try out. Will be interesting to see how it stacks up against Mandriva.

Debian Stable is a different kettle of fish, seeing as it has a lot of older apps. If you want to go a bit unstable, make sure to not include SID, but include the next release... usually there's a testing distro. And usually it's not too bad for installing from.
Make sure if you install your NVIDIA or ATI drivers, that you make sure to prevent Debian from updating them or Xorg. Google will help you learn how to lock a package, I didn't and regretted it. This might be a good read if you plan to use Debian.

Thanks for the info hellnoire. I think I'll just stay with Mandriva for now and learn a bit more about Linux, before jumping into something more complicated.

Reply is a bit late.
The Wine installer was broken, after a calm reboot, Ubuntu didn't work and there's a warning, Ubuntu iso is missing. I did some tricks but still unlucky. I guess, it's time to do some manual installation without the help of the native installer.
