I wish my ISP gave me that kind of bandwidth!

Sometimes i forget Bear the differences between ISP's and the area im living in is well covered and maintained, i used a torrent to download Mint but a direct download link would have been about the same speed.

I supposedly have a 1.5 Mbs internet service, but am lucky if I can download at 200 Kbs. Out here in the country, I don't have much choice, other than dial up, or satelite (very expensive), so I have to live with it.

My service is unlimited, but it really stinks when I can't even get close to the amount of bandwidth I am supposedly paying for. In the evenings its even worse and I don't bother trying to watch stuff like Utube videos, because they take forever to download.

Supposed to be 27 Mbps but i don't get near that, so i would have to say im the lucky one here, and there was a recent price drop, sometimes downloads are so fast if you blink you would miss them, but i did start with dial up and would find it hard to take any step backwards at this point.
if i had been feeling better of late i would have set up the old pc for these new distro's, so i will stick with the live OS for a bit longer....
