Thought for a second this was a fork of Peppermint. Last thing we need is a fork of a fork of a fork of a for-... wait... too many forks.
Ubuntu was forked off Debian.
Lubuntu was forked off Ubuntu.
Peppermint was forked off Lubuntu.
Leaves me with one question: WHY?
pacman -Syyu life not found in sync db

I believe Peppermint is based on Lubuntu which is LXDE. That's why it's a fork of Lubuntu.

Peppermint is based off Lubuntu which is running LXDE Desktop environment but Lubuntu is based off Ubuntu which is based off Debian.
LXDE is the Desktop Enviroment, hence why it's Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment.
Do you see now what I'm saying? This is a fourth gen fork. I'd enjoy it if they stop forking around... after all, wasn't Ubuntu supposed to be the 'great unifier'?

Yes, I understand what you are saying. They like to fork around because it is easier to strip down Ubuntu and add something else to become a new distro.

Indeed.
Would also like to add that your comment made me snicker a little... since I read 'fork' as 'f***'. Either word is suiting in this case though...

I'd rather be fishing!
Thanks for the heads up luffy, but I will stay with Mandriva. Ubuntu and all its "forks" have become increasingly more bloated with each update and my older PC just doesn't seem to like them very much.

Seeing as this is based off Ubuntu, you might like it.
I'm using Arch for my server, will be moving my desktop to it completely if I get my student loan.
