Thanks solin, my Ubuntu was automatically updated to Firefox 6. It was using Firefox 5.

I just have the extracted tar from 4.0 beta sitting in the system somewhere and made the icons point to it.. nobody seems to notice and it updates when new versions are released as opposed to waiting for the Ubuntu repos to catch up
