Running WordPress On Nginx (LEMP) on Debian Squeeze/Ubuntu 11.04

    This tutorial shows
how you can install and run a WordPress blog on a Debian Squeeze or Ubuntu 11.04 system that has nginx installed instead of Apache (LEMP = Linux + nginx (pronounced "engine x") + MySQL + PHP). In addition to that I will also show you how you can use the WordPress plugins WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache with nginx. nginx is a HTTP server that uses much less resources than Apache and delivers pages a lot of faster, especially static files.
I do not issue any guarantee that this will work for you!

Ngix is fast, no doubt about it.
I would continue to use it if it is not weak against DDoS.

I've used only Apache for my webserver, though with the server being on the P4/2Gig computer next to me, it's kinda hard to say 'yes, this thing can hold up' when you know that a copy script bogs it down enough that copying files when it's running is a pain. Should I ask what you're using now?

On topic, I wouldn't want to run either on the current releases, but a LTS would be better. A year/two years and you need to replace the OS? Sorry, there is a reason why LTS releases exist, and if you upgraded and need to keep running the stuff you used to, wait for the next LTS.
