    Big Grin How about OpenSUSE?

I was checking out Distrowatch when I caught my eye on the latest OpenSUSE 11.4. The graphics is damn fantastic, I must say. I believe my system has enough strength to take a load of KDE so I was asking, anyone has any experience with OpenSUSE? Can I consider moving? Or is it better to stay away from?

When I tried version 10 I could not burn DVDs using k3b. I had to login as root to do it. Also the font size in OpenSUSE GUI are very small for my comfort. Your experience may vary Try it

k3b has been a problem for me also. But this time I'm considering using Brasero.

It is basically the permissions given to burn DVDs under the user account. Applications either k3b or brasero are not the problem. If it is fixed in this release it is a very stable distro.

Indeed. And if you wanted to, you could always add your username to the group to allow for it.

As for my opinion, I'll let the court know that my opinion on openSUSE is my opinion of WORSE then my opinion of Microsoft.

Well, I did a review of it... let's just say the pain behind my right eyeball that I'm having with the cold I've got right now is considered delightful compared to SUSE.

But yeah... personally, I don't like it.

You're free to try it, of course. Just don't expect me to support it. It's as bad as Ubuntu/Mint in my testing.

I think it was probably your review on openSUSE that made me change my mind about trying it.

Then please suggest me a nice looking OS which is good. I'd prefer KDE platforms, since the graphics are better than any other platform.
