    Arch Linux

Well, I had today off from work (below zero temps & wind chill) so I decided to bite the bullet and try installing Arch. Thanks to an installation guide link provided by hellnoire, I was able to get Arch up and running. Now, comes the fun part, as I try to get use to a new Linux OS.

How do you like Arch so far Uncle Bear? If it runs good maybe we can install it on our old family PC.

The next time you come over Buddy, you can try Arch out for yourself and see how you like it.

If you use your laptop to open up those guides for easy reference, it makes it a lot easier. Have fun Buddy!

OK, that sounds like a good idea.

I finally got Arch installed with my dad's help and we are still trying to get things set up the way we want. So far, I really like it and so does my dad, who wants to switch his own PC over from Fedora now.

Arch remains one of my top choices for an Linux distro, and is what I wanted in Debian but would never get.

So far I really like it too. My dad has used Linux for a few years now and he likes that Arch updates itself and he doesn't need to upgrade all the time.
