Recover Windows 7

Lost W7 Ultimate 64 bit after installing latest Ubuntu. While booting, it shows Windows option but says failure to read disc. The option was install Ubuntu alongside Windows. How to get back both of them ?

Fisrt try to get Win 7 back. Boot from a Win 7 insatallation CD and select the repair option. Somwhere there's an option to open command promt. Run it and type the command: bootrec.exe /fixmbr and press Enter then reboot normally from your hdd. I assume this will fix the problem.
