A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the following file: setupdd.sys

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Started Optionsm and then select Safe Mode

esprato, if that didn't help, try downloading the RAID driver for the SATA/RAID controller on your PC's motherboard.
Let the PC boot from the CD and run the Windows setup. You will see the blue screen of the setup program, press F6 when you see it displayed in the white bar along the bottom. You will then be prompted to insert your driver diskette and press ENTER.

there's no diskette for this computer. It's Acer Aspire M5600. It's not sure where i can download the RAID driver for the SATA/RAID

Oh boy, I went to Acer website and there is no RAID drivers to download.
Try these drivers, it *MIGHT* work.
ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/desktop/aspire_m5500/xp/RAID.zip

i've download the acer driver you've shown earlier and managed to boot it into the installation.
But there's many choices and i don't know which one to choose.
- Intel(R) 82801HR/HH/HO SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH8R)
- Intel(R) 82801HR/HH/HO SATA AHCI Controller (Desktop ICH8R)
- Intel(R) 631xESB/632xESB SATA RAID Controller (Workstation ESB2)
- Intel(R) 82801GHM SATA RAID Controller (Mobile ICH7RM)
- Intel(R) 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH7M)
- Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH7R/DH)
- Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA AHCI Controller (Desktop ICH7R/DH)
- Intel(R) 82801FR SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH6R)
- Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller (Desktop ICH6R)
- Intel(R) 82801FBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH6M)
may i know which one to choose?

Try this first because it seems that Acer Aspire M5600 is using this raid controller. If doesn't work, then you have to try one by one :P
- Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH7R/DH)
-
finally done with the installation after choosing Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA AHCI Controller (Desktop ICH7R/DH).
Btw, any software can recovery files for hdd that have been formatted?
