Slax is a modern, portable, small and fast Linux operating system with a modular approach and outstanding design. Despite its small size, Slax provides a wide collection of pre-installed software for daily use, including a well organized graphical user interface and useful recovery tools for system administrators.

Change in this version
- aufs is used instead of unionfs, brings great stability and features
- squashfs is patched with LZMA compression, so compressed filesystems are up to 30% smaller
- no need to patch your distro's startup scripts in order to remove remount of root rw
- no need for udev as the devices are created during live startup
- CD tree is simplified, you may call your distro as you like, eg. slax, knoppix, etc.
- support for booting from USB and PCMCIA/CardBus device
- support for writing persistent changes even to VFAT (thanks to posixovl)
- added a script to create bootable disk (including USB) in Linux and Windows

I agree that Slax is a very good linux distro but I have tWo problems with what you're sharing.

1. Latest version is 6.0.3 and you posted an older version. I guess you copied this somewhere.

2. You posted Rapidshare links. Why on earth would people want to download linux from rapidshare when there's a direct link which is fast?
