So how large of a PSU was it? I took a look at that Coolermaster case you bought and it should have plenty of room!

1200 pro gold really quiet no matter how much i have on an open desktop i can't hear it, how many distros's have you tried Bear ? i just downloaded the latest version of Fedora and thinking of downloading a few over the next few weeks and run them from the cd at the moment im trying to resist Ubuntu although im all for easy, im thinking of making these distro's a pastime away from windows find one i really like that is not too simple and then install it and give it the attention it deserves...

Hi Jay. The only Distro I've actually installed so far is Ubuntu. For a newbie to Linux, it isn't a bad one to start out with, but it is rather bloated IMHO. I have tried out Fedora and Mint from Live CD. Of those two, I liked Fedora better and was thinking about installing it, but hellnoire suggested I try Mandriva instead. I downloaded Mandriva and burned it to CD, but with everything going on over Easter, I haven't gotten the chance to play around with it. Oh yes, I have played around with Puppy Linux and it is a pretty neat little OS that I have installed on a flash drive, so I can take it with me where ever.

If you find Ubuntu bloated and don't mind learning a new way of working, you could always use Mandriva. Or if you'd rather keep to apt-get, there's Debian you could use too.
