iPhone 3G now sold legally in Malaysia

That's right. The iPhone that's been making waves on the international scene has just begun to reach Malaysian shores. As usual, you have the 6/12/24 month "contract" with the telco, this time - Maxis. Me thinks as the hype regarding the iphone has almost died down, not many people would buy it especially in Malaysia, a country used to sms-ing. The rates differ on your plan though. So, whaddya Malaysians think? Deal or no deal?

My dad always wanted an Iphone 3G and now it is Malaysia but Maxis isn't like Celcom with Wide area support.

no video call , no mms , no bluetooth , cant forward sms .... iphone = public phone!

Lol. Nice analogy. Didn't know that iPhone 3G can't even make video calls, has no mms and bluetooth. All for the price of almost 3k. I guess it's just a novelty item then.
