Wifi/Wlan on Tmobile G1

Is there anybody out here that has been able to connect the Tmobile: G1 via wireless Lan? Tried it but the device never sees any signals though my E71 does see the signals. The G1 is said to have wifi capabilities, is it not supposed to work with wlan? Need some one to help me out here cos the cost of my data plan on my network is killing! Thanks.

I was not a T-mobile user, but i did a little search on your problem through google and it resulted in [url=androidforums.com/t-mobile-g1/2261-question-about-g1-wlan-wifi.html]this article in android forum...

I learnt that you need to configure it by an application called [url=www.androlib.com/android.application.fan-wifipro-jmjC.aspx]Wifi helper.


Not sure whether its the exact way, but worth a try...

I have connected the G1 to a wifi network multiple times. It's possible that the G1 isn't detecting a channel, the wifi radio is busted, or it may not support the encryption (which I doubt).
