Nokia and Microsoft Are Officially New BFFs

As expected, Nokia and Microsoft just announced their plans to partner up in the mobile space, as Windows Phone 7 will become the main operating system on Nokia's smartphones, combining Microsoft's resources and software expertise with Nokia's masterful ability to design and manufacture hardware.

In the announcement, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said they plan to collaborate with Microsoft in various ways. But the handset/OS alliance comes first:

"Nokia will help drive and define the future of Windows Phone. Nokia will contribute its expertise on hardware design, language support, and help bring Windows Phone to a larger range of price points, market segments and geographies."

i think the competition given by Local phone companies and also by Chinese counterpart has Weaken the grip of Nokia as a Major global Mobile set manufacturer..
The triangular war between Apple-other players- Nokia,Microsoft will be a watchable industry phenomenon in which customers will be benefited by reduction in cost..

    Let's see what will happen!!!!!

Nokia used to be the best phone but it's not selling very well now.
Same with Microsoft Windows Mobile since most people either go for iPhone or Android based phone.
Let's see what can they come up with.

I think it would be better if we see a Nokia device with Android, it will have the build quality of Nokia and the best operating system for smartphones.
