Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (it all ends here)

Well, as a Harry Potter fan, I couldn't possibly miss the last movie in the series. Too bad I couldn't get to watch it on it's official release day here in Singapore on the 14th of July 2011 (Thurs) since I'm in my academy but as soon as I walk-out, I watched it in 3D format in the cinemas on the 16th (Saturday), no matter the fact that I didn't get the best seats.

Although I should say that I was slightly disappointed in that the movie omitted certain scenes from the book and the ending felt kind of 'rushed' personally, all-in-all it was worthy of praise: the main contents (storyline) were there, the excitement was clearly felt, the emotions were well displayed by those playing the characters (esp. Alan Rickman who plays Severus Snape and Matthew Lewis who plays Neville Longbottom) , the visuals and effects were convincing (made me feel as if I was right there in the action) and most importantly, it left a sense of sadness to see it all ends there...I couldn't help but feel thirst and hunger for more despite the years I've been reading and watching the HP series. It's really really hard to believe that it has ended...I'd be missing all of them, especially seeing Emma Watson as Hermione (oh, she's simply gorgeous). I just feel like breaking down into tears but damn, I can't do that..

For those of you who haven't watched, here's the trailers:

P.S. I don't know about the rest here (whether you are a HP fan) but even if you're not, I dare say give this movie a try/go if you haven't....it'd be worth every single dollar/Euro/penny you spend.

I've watched all Harry Potter movies but honestly I never really understood the storyline.
The effects are impressive though... Makes me feel like a magical world does exist (only for two hours).

exactly.. i have seen part 1 and 2 .. and that also in patches .. due to the fact that it seems little boring to me and i use to forward it ...
in my college, girls used to read the Novels of it in such a manner that they can forgot their Boy friend/s but, i never cared.. it seems a puzzle to me what they really like in it...

That reminds me of my best friend's wife that loves Harry Potter stories so much that she read the book thrice.
The only time I would read something thrice is when the "manual" of an electronic appliance comes from China

i have to confess im a fan, my sons got me into Harry Potter or at least that is my excuse, and as Raymond mentioned it is a good idea to escape for a while, the films are well made and classic good vs evil mystery and magic, and although it's now over they saved the best for last bringing it all together...

HP fan going with family to see in a couple of hours (hopefully). Like this sub forum section, its a nice addition.

Not only were the Lord of the Rings books great but so were the movies. Too often movies based on books are money grabs and don't do the source material justice but the extended versions are sweet!!
