How do I download mp3 from asx?
How can I download the original mp3 file which an asx file is pointing at?
I have Orbit downloader but it doesn't seem to be able to do it (it just sits at 0%). I'm looking for a way that doesn't involve transcoding.
Shouldn't the mp3 be somewhere on my pc in a temp folder, being that WMP is able to play it? Any help's appreciated.

Download these files;
http://players.mediazone.co.il/media/authors/34/playlists/192115/192115_static.asx
http://players.mediazone.co.il/media/authors/34/playlists/192116/192116_static.asx
Open up VLC or Windows Media Player to stream the audio. From there, we find out that it's retreiving the mp3 file from "mms://mz11.mediazone.co.il/mediazone/34/192597!203606.mp3?MSWMExt=.asf"
So, depending on your download manager, IDM doesn't support mms protocol, but FlashGet does. So, I'm using FlashGet to download the 8.85 MB file which should be the audio.
A third party tool would be;

Thanks XJ,
I tried FlashGet & it downloaded the file right away, however when I play it back it sounds all garbled. Is it a problem with the source file or FlashGet?

Plays allright with VLC. Try using another player.

Hmm... you're right, it plays fine in VLC but not in foobar or WMP11.
Is there any way to fix that?

Could be an incompatibility issue with the other players or a codec problem.

You can try [url=http://www.kantaris.org/]Kantaris Media Player. It is based on VLC source code but it less buggy and more compatible.
Further, You should download and install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack to enable WMP and other players to play different files.
