    Hi all,

I am kinda audiophine, and planning to buy a brand-new 5.1 stereo or 7.1 stereo for my PC if possible. I don't mean PC speakers.

I have just spent some time on window shopping for stereos, and seen some of the 7.1 stereos are priced up to more than several hundreds while some of their prices are quite reasonable.

What makes such a big difference in their prices?
I really don't know much about stereos' structures.

    Definitely big difference.

For example, a built-in Realtek 5.1 soundcard is able to support 5.1 speakers. But then if compared to Creative sound cards, it can also support 5.1 speakers and also has a lot of features that is able to make the sound very real. Of course there are many other features but I am not a sound freak, so I don't know much about it :P
