My strange wireless network...
Hi everyone...for almost two month,i've notice a very strange thing, that is beyond my comprehension...i'm using an encrypted wifi network(home),and when i'm downloading rar files(from rapidshare for example) with IDM,the download speed is dramaticaly slow down..it seems like someone squeeze it and after a little while release it...i use KAV 2009 and comodo firewall, but they're not the problem, because when i'm downloading exe files,or avi files,my dowloading speed is normal, wich is about 800kb/s......i've tried to switch the radio channels...nothing...the same weird thing...any ideas or sugestions?...
Thank you in advance.
P.S.It's not rapidshare neither(i have premium account,by the way),because even if i try to download a rar file from elsewhere,it's the same thing...i tried with IDA too,the mozilla's DownThem'all plugin, its defalut download manager....nothing...And this is happening with all my browsers...mozilla,opera,ie.....

It is normal from the rapid share servers. you need to have a premium account to get the full speed.

Thank you Heart reaper for your reply...but if you look closely my post, especially my P.S,you can see that i've wrote that i already have a premium account...

so does KAV have a web traffic option on it? i'm not sure as i use KIS. if so it could be as it scans the incoming files and as well as eating up resources it might slow down download.

No,KAV doesn't have the web traffic option...but why this problem apears to affect only the rar files??...damn,it's frustrating....
