Mark's Fix
I have a linksys router so the settings may be different for you guys..
- First of all, go to the troublesome PC
- Go to; Control Panel >> View Network Status and Task >> Manage Network Connections
- Right click your adaptor and click on properties (you will need admin privileges)
- Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on properties
- Click on the 'Use Following IP Address:' button
- In the IP address, type in 192.168.1.101 (If it comes up with a message saying IP Conflict, change it to 192.168.1.102)
- The subnet mask should atomatically come up. If not, type in 255.255.255.0
- In the gateway box, type in: 192.168.1.1
Then wa-la! You should have internet access!!
