Printer (Sharing and) Connection Problem.

Hi to everyone.I want to say that when i connected the printer to the print server i.e.pc on which the printer was installed and shared but when i try o connect it from other PC, it gives an error:
"Could not connect to the printer. You either entered a printer name
that was incorrect or the specified printer is no longer
connected to the server"
Please help me getting rid out of this problem.

If you're on a basic local area network, this is how you should share your printer.

On the computer that is connected directly to the printer, right click on the Printer and select Sharing. Select Share this Printer and click OK.

Then on other computers that wants to connect to the shared printer, go to Start > Run, type \\computername and click OK.

You should see the printer. Simply double click on the printer and it'd automatically install the necessary drivers and map it to your computer.

I did the same as you told Ray.... but the error is still there.Then, i changed my RJ45 cable and the printer worked normally and connected also successfully.
Ooops!!!! My Printer model: HP Laser Jet 1018
If Any Suggestions, pls. help me.
