Ping works but browser dosen't
hi, it has been a few days since it happened. some how i got it working last night and again same issue is up now. the problem is i can browse sites from my browser Firefox but the site rapidshare.com is not working so i tried to ping the site in cmd and worked fine but i cannot browse that site in Firefox and Explorer so any body have any ideas
i can browse other sites but when i enter the rapidshare.com and hit enter the error report " Connection Interrupted ".

Proper Winsock Repair Procedure
First try a reset of IE.Then from a command prompt.type these commands with no brackets- (netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt) >enter then (netsh winsock reset) >enter >reboot

are you getting any message screen from Firefox? Or just a tab that seems to continue to load and time out?

the error msg that i get from firefox is " Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

I'd suggest you to install HotspotShield, a free VPN.
http://www.hotspotshield.com/
Connect to HSS VPN and visit rapidshare. Is the problem gone?

If you uninstall Hotspot Shield, there is a chance that you can now access RapidShare normally without problems. Happened once to Mark I think.
