    setup an OS distribution server

ive read some articles on pxe boot and norton ghost written by raymond but i have some doubts :

    1. Is Pxe boot used to boot a computer with a different OS hosted on a server, it requires a floppy disk which is obsolete , is there a way to use cd or usb drive? on googling i found some "memdisk " file etc which im finding difficult to use.

2.In general , is there any way to boot a computer using an OS image(iso etc) hosted on some other computer (just like live OS cds but instead of a cd we use network to load the OS from another computer)

    pls help
    thnks in advance

I've personally seen such things in action.

The image is located at a server and boot via PXE. The computer can boot up windows even without hard drive. It's very impressive.
