Need HELP!.. Media Disconnected Issue
Hi Guys!..
First of all, i have to thank Raymond for all he has done to informing as with a lot of things.
I am having a network issue, my computer is connected to a router (Belik) by a cable and it is fine, in the same room i have another computer connected to the same router by a USB Belkin Adapter, at first it works just fine but.. about 5 days ago it gives me 'media status......media disconnected' when doing an ipconfig in cmd. I have a little networking knowledge, i am waiting for some ideas.
I did those thing, just to know..
- Resetting winsock
- Reinstalling USB Adapter drivers
- Restarting the Wireless Zero Configuration
- Disabling my Anti-Virus
- No firewall is turned on (Computer and Router)
..Internet is working through my LAN port :P
I don't know wht to do.. PLZ HELP

My only suggestion off the top of my head is to reset your router by unplugging it and replugging it back in.
Believe it or not, I have that problem a lot (spotty wireless), or I get high ping because of my router, and that's what fixes it most times.
Don't ask me why this works the way it does, I have a D-Link myself.
pacman -Syyu life not found in sync db

So if run an ipconfig command it says media disconnected but are you still able to connect to the internet after that?

Since you didn't mention what Windows are you using, here is what you should try.
If using Windows XP, type the 2 commands in command prompt and restart your computer.
netsh int ip reset reset.log
netsh winsock reset catalog
If using Windows 7, type and restart.
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Pc Wizkid & Programmer :)
funny i had a customers pc other day with a similar issue ,what seems to be the cause is corrupt dlls ,nlasvc.dll to be precise.
try this
open Cmd type Sfc/scannow
if that failed then u would need to replace the dll ,however if your Os is vista then u got to take ownership to delete it ,and this is tricky in vista
Out of my mind. I Haven't Lost My Mind, It's Backed Up On Disk Somewhere.
