Only IE connect to internet ?????

    Hi,

I'm trying to get Windows 7 x64 to connect to the net(wireless) and the problem is that only Internet Explorer is working, while for example
Opera doesn't (says it can't find a server). Firefox too, it gives a blank page. None of the other
software (like p2p -software) can reach a connection, and even the MS and Avira
    update software.
Next I disabled the Windows firewall, but that didn't change anything.

Anyone got any ideas I could check through?

    P.S I don't use any proxy.

    Try winsockfix

    1. Click Start, type cmd in the Start Search box, right-click cmd.exe, click Run as administrator, and then press Continue.
    2. Type netsh winsock reset at the command prompt, and then press ENTER.
    3. Type exit, and then press ENTER.

    or downlooad this app: WinSockFix

Glad it worked out for you...I was merely guessing and I had to do a Google search to find out what those commands were (I'm not a command prompt freak)
