Reset your router to factory settings and try again. If it still doesn't work then it's probably your netbook's fault.

What type of Wireless Band is it? G,N,B etc
Some type of Netbook/PC does not support wireless N. Is wireless correctly setup in your router?

Depending on what operating system you are running go to your control panel and select "Network Connection" Use the Wizard to connect you to a Wireless Network. A list of available networks will appear on the right of your desktop. Select the one you want to connect to, which will be the one who`s name you selected for your router during set-up, there may be a few others in the netbooks range also, click "Connect". Another box will appear asking for the network key. Enter the key which can normally be found on the bottom of the router. Click OK. If all went well you should now be connected.

Check that the routers broadcasting it's BSSID
Out of my mind. I Haven't Lost My Mind, It's Backed Up On Disk Somewhere.

Make sure your router is broadcasting the correct connection type. My router can be set for N or N & G or N & G & AB. Most netbooks are G, so make sure your router supports that.
Make sure your netbook can see the lan signal - click the wireless icon in the task tray and check.
Also, if your netbook is looking for a DHCP connection, make sure your router is set up for this and not using pre-assigned IP addresses.
Good Luck!

You could connect to it directly by going into the command prompt on a pc which is connected to the router and typing ipconfig /all
Copy the DNS numbers
Go to Network Connections (Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections) and right click your wireless adaptor
Copy the DNS server numbers from the command and put it in the bit where it says use preferred DNS

FYI
Don't know the case here, but out netbook runs CE 3.0 and is NOT a 'PC' and there is no ipconfig. You have to do it another way (click on wireless icon in tray and get details).
