    Can't connect through most browsers

Hey all... I have two Vistas installed and the one I usually use crashed and cant even start into safe mode so I booted into my other backup Vista which I have never really used and come to find that I cant connect to the internet through most browsers including Opera, Safari, IE or FF, but I am connected now through K-Meleon and I can connect trhough all my messengers. I have deleted all browser caches and temps and tried reinstalling all, but to no avail. All my ethernet drivers and my hosts file are fine. I dont know what to do.

Check your connection specifications on the browsers. Also bring your browsers up-to-date.
    Are you running DHCP?
Are you using a router? Wireless, or wired? If wireless, windows controlled, or other?
    etc,etc.

DHCP all browsers up to date. Wired of course, lol.

Good news is I fixed my other Windows OS and am back on it. Would have sucked not being able to use Opera; all other browsers are inferior, lol.

Still want to know whats up with the other.

Was the other system trying to use the first systems IP addresses? Did you try rebooting your router? did you try release, clear DNS, renew?
