Printer Network Problem

i have 2 PC
laptop with win7
desktop with xp

prob is my printer is old , its HP deskjet 3325
so its drivers are not available for win7

i want to share printer which is attached with my desktop

now firstly i downloaded alternate driver as told in HP site for my printer

1. now when i print the printer does not print headings , anything written in big etc whereas same thing when printed from desktop is perfect..
what do i do cause it seems driver issue to me

2. how do i connect my laptop to that printer since its attached to desktop which in turn attached to router which in turn attached to laptop through wifi

earlier i used to get error that pls install printer driver on laptop and now i have odnr that yet it could not find driver of printer

Share the printer though your desktop computer, and connect to it that way. It's what I do with a Lexmark E232

but prob is winodws 7 cant find the driver even though u have installed it ..
even wrote to HP

i m really tired finding solution as everywhere it same thing mentioned

That might be caused by alternative software. Open device manager click on hidden device and see if any missing driver is there. Just an opinion.

i dont understand why my PC cant find driver for printer though i have installed it .

when i click add printer>search for wireless printer

i see my network printer , it means its in network, bur when click next it cant fond driver and ask me to locate the .inf file in PC

Open program files and locate the .inf file.

Your printer is HP deskjet 3325, open C:\Program Files and look for any hp folder, there you might have your driver .inf file. Also you can search by putting the name of that .inf file.

thats what prob is . no driver available for windows 7 for 3325 so installed 3600 driver by going to add printer>locl printer >then chose hp and 3600 driver from right and windows installed it and i dont where it installed .
i just cant find any folder named 3600 etc

I think the driver is creating the prob because it is not the specific one.
