Hi hemlock 29 Welcome to the forum, first i would try a firmware update for your router, check your power plan control panel > Hardware and sound > Power options, you can goto network and sharing center and click trouble shoot problems and see if windows detects a problem and take note, especially when this happens again.

It's obvious that it's your PCs fault. Install the latest driver for your network card.

First check you lan cord then lan card then reinstalling the driver (current / latest). Then Update here
.
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

Sorry to differ from the others in the thread but I feel this is a case of power management issue in the ethernet card.
Please can you let me know what happens when:
1) You restart your modem, does it work fine?
2) If it works fine, for how much time?
3) Please can you clarify what type and brand of internet cord and the internet card are you using.
4) Please can you pass on your ethernet card settings in this thread.

You state
is it the router, internet cord or the internet card ?? i use another computer in the same router but it has no problem ..
shows that router ok. that port ok and that cable ok.
connect faulty computer to the cable that the working machine uses.
still faulty then it is the machine - network card/drivers/winsock
Reinstalling TCP/IP protocol...
netsh int ip reset %TEMP%\resetlog.txt
Resetting Winsock API...
netsh Winsock reset
or winsockfix program.
buy a usb network card / or wireless card
good luck
