Tweak my Internet? Help please

Recently my speed feels so slow.
I use win7 Ultimate,Scientific Atlanta 2100(modem), D-Link Dir-600 router
I wonder if there is any way to tweak it?
Please help me

What is the speed that you're subscribed to?
Run a speed test at www.speedtest.net

1. Mention promised speed for your plan, speed you are getting in actual.

2. Download any file from Microsoft and report the speed.

3. Are you using an ADSL connection ? If no, mention the technology used by your ISP.

If you are facing issues with browsing ( page takes a bit too long to load), then try

a. Disable all automatic updates and check.

b. Close your torrent client (even if it is not downloading) and check.

c. Switch to Open DNS or Google DNS and check.
