Cool WoL via internet and Remote using VNC with 3G USB modem and no Router.

Hi guys, i've successfully turn on my office PC using WoL (Wake on LAN) with Depicus software and then remote it with VNC from home since my office has a router.

But how if i wanted to do the same thing with my home PC that doesn't have a router? My home PC support WoL and i use a 3G or EV-DO USB modem but i have no router.

Is it possible for me to turn on my PC via WoL and the remote it using VNC wiyhout a router? I can't turn on my home PC and the only way i can remote my home PC is by using TeamViewer but it keeps disconnecting after a few minutes.

Hi you need a router & also appropriate port need to forwarded too. "Magic Packet" is sent to the 48-bit MAC address of a pc. You need to map this MAC Address table (Router does the job ). You need to set forward all broadcast traffic from specific port (bescially 9,UDP) on your PC. Bingo. But you don't have any router. Also one problem is there that if you don't have any static ip then you to forward every time if you disconnects. Anyway you can try it - http://wakeonlan.me/.
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.
