Internet and Intranet on Same PC

Our organization runs on Intratnet and we have only one Network card .. we want to connect internet to same pc without adding any network card.. is it possible..

I guess we do have some sort of switch where we can shift between connection.. any idea as to how to do that..?

Does your organization shares the Internet using a proxy server?
If yes, on the browser you can set it to bypass proxy server for local addresses.
This way when you browse a local address, it would connect directly without the internet connection through proxy.
And when you try to access a website, it would use the Internet connection from proxy.

Nope we don't use any proxy server.. Just like telephone jack..where one input multiple outlets..

In similar terms.. two Lan cables..and one outlet. where If I use some sort of switch....I can switch between my connection,..

    i guess Iam not clear..

One way is what Ray said above. Another thing you can do is make a pc as Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) host. Only in that pc you need 2 lan cardS. Connect one lan card to internet/isp and another to your lan/intranet. You'll need a HUB/SWITCH in this scenario. I'll go for the switch !! Anyway Look at the picture hope you'll understand.

I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

If your modem supports USB port, you can try that option.
One day, you'll be just a memory for some people. Do your best to be a good one.
