After many, many tries to connect to our Mac's remotely from a Windows machine I found an a how-to in the archives of this blog that worked like a charm (thank-you Raymond!). I have one problem remaining that I'm hoping to find an answer for. On one of our Mac's (OS X Panther 10.3.9) I set up 2 users to be able to have remote access but I am only able to log-on remotely as one of them. This user happens to have administrative privileges. Is there a way to have the other user have the ability to log on remotely?

I did notice, when setting up this machine, that when I went to System Preferences -> Sharing -> Apple Remote Desktop -> Access Privileges that there wasn't a "VNC viewers may control screen with password" box to check. I don't know if this has something to do with it - like I said I can remotely log-on but only with the administrative user.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The one I tested was Mac OS X Tiger. Not sure whether Panther works differently?

Are you using VNC to connect to the OS X Panther 10.3.9? Have you checked this article?

    Maybe it can help you.

I am using the TightVNC viewer to connect to the Panther 10.3.9 machine. I think because I am able to connect with at least one user, I'll leave the settings where they are for the time being. In the meantime, I'll do a little more research. I'll post anything I find out.
