Iv been having trouble with my internet for the past month or so been talking to the guys at the phone company and all they do is have me run ping test after ping test and the problem is not on my end and they caint seem to figure it out according to what im getting from the pings
<1ms to modem
35ms to dns server
450ms to google
is that what ever is going wrong is happing is happing after the dns seems to me liek there server is over loaded only happens during prime time evening hours the times i use it most
my questions is there a way to figure out on my end where the connection is being lagged up at


and is there a way to freaking convince them its on there fucking end

also it seems the trouble started happening after they changed my external ip address after 2 years of me having the same one

So what's the problem with your internet? Slow? Frequent disconnection? High ping?

Your pings look pretty normal. Except I might get around 300 when pinging google.

pings used to be around 49 for google(googles server is just a a couple states over from me) and it gets very very slow in the evenings cant buffer videos play my games almost as bad as dial up and im paying for 960 down 265 up

Since they've changed your IP address, most probably they've relocated to you another server.

In Malaysia, we have dynamic IP addresses and so far I notice there are 3-4 ranges.
60.48.x.x
218.111.x.x
218.208.x.x
219.x.x.x

Those that starts with 60 are super slow... For me, only the 218.208 is the fastest. At least I get to resync my connection to get the 218.208. As for your case with static IP address, I don't think there's anything can be done on your side. You have to keep on bugging them until they fix you back to the old server where it's much faster.

well the ip adress both start the same 216.150.106.x its after that that changes i thought maybe they just got new severs all around or maybe updated the old ones
i guess ill just call them back every day tell its done hopefully soon gonna need all that internet speed for halo3
