If changing the username and pass don't work, maybe the port(phone line) is configured to your account.

It is? My friends always install keylogers in the school's pc to record the user ID and passwords of anyone who trys to use their ISP accounts. And they take the passwords and use them on thier own modems.(its boardband modem, not wireless)
Tell the truth and shame the Devil.

That all depends on the ISP configuration. In Malaysia, most of us pay $26 per month for unlimited usage. No matter whose account I use, it's still the same. And if my telephone line is not configured for ADSL, I won't be able to connect even using other people's account.
So, again I say, it all depends on ISP.
By the way, there's a bug in Steamyx. If I previously subscribed to Streamyx before and cancelled it, I can still connect if I use other people's login. The con is, we can't use the same account together.

Normally , ISP's configure dslam in such way that hardware specific port(telep line) is binded with ip/mac/pppoe/ account and is only allowed.
