True or false "You have to have the adsl light always lit if you have the adsl activated from the telecom service provider/ISP"

I am asking coz the light saying adsl lit just for few seconds and then kept on disappearing on the one i tried to connect. Eventually gave up for a day waiting for solution.

True for Malaysia. The ADSL light must be constant and not blinking or off.

Can i get a detailed how to on installing adsl2+ modem with router any 4 port one.I think the process is same for most of the adsl modem routers right. Thanks in advance.

that is true that the ADSL or DSL must me light up with stable , in order to connect to internet (apply when you modem is function properly )

the ADSL/ DSL -> light up with stable ,means that you modem able to syn to your isp
when is blinking --> it means that you not able to connect to internet (modem to isp not syn)
frequently ADSL/DSL --> blinking --> this means that you have frequent disconnection


ADSL/DSL -> stable 90% you able to connect to internet
- but some time you not able to connect too --> this might be due to modem or isp port is hang
- or you try to use PPPOE dialer you will get err 678 : the remote computer is not responding

The ADSL light basicly means that you have a connection active and that you are connected to the internet
