Which portable broadband (Malysia only)
My sister plans to get a portable broadband for her laptop. Can anyone suggest a reliable one? I am living in Malaysia. My sister budget is maximum Rm70 per month. Is there any broadband package my sister can applied to without burning a hole in her pocket? The speed doesn't matter. She is living in Sarawak at the moment. I know Maxis broadband is definitely out of the equation as it cost a stunning RM 138 per month.
Thoughts are like a never ending ocean where it is deep, endless and dangerous

The only broadband from Malaysia is StreamyX but I dont think it's that reliable..
The RM66 one would be the best for your budget but it's without a modem..
Not sure how it works without a modem but nonetheless..

Maybe there is a similar service in Maleysia to the one they are offering in the UK
In the UK, its called mobile broadband and its basically just a USB pen drive which you plug into your computer. However, you only have about 3 GB download limit and its SLOW

Check in mind, if your sis is a heavy downloader/torrenter.

Malysia not only has Streamyx. There are Maxis Broadband, U-mobile, Celcom Broadband, Izzi and P1Wimax (correct me if I leave out extra)
The RM66 is limited usage. Once you exceed it, you start paying extra.

Yup, that is the one I am looking for. A USB pendrive modem.

If you looking for the pendrive modem, you might considering this from vodafone..

That was not what I had in mind. What I had in mind was the plan. I need to know what plan and the cost. The USB modem is ok. I can get it from Low Yat.

I have Celcom wireless broadband and it is SLOW. I am going to cancel it when Wimax is here.
