Netlink fast ethernet adapter disabled after every boot

Hi guys, hoping someone can help me. I've googled and googled but can't get a resolve. I've also downloaded and installed the latest drivers. I recently installed xp pro on my acer aspire 5315 (previously had vista). Everything went fine, however on every boot, netlink fast ethernet adapter is disabled after every boot. Once I go into device manager and enable, everything is fine and I can get onto the internet. Thanks everyone.

That's a very weird problem. Do you remember messing with any security settings?
Try removing the driver and then install again.

Thanks for your reply, no I didn't change any of the security settings. To tell you the truth, i'm a little scared now to go install again, I guess i've done something but what I don't know. The other thing is, I must have deleted the file after I installed it, and i've had a great deal of difficulty searching the internet to get one that will actually download.

odd that. you might have removed the drivers from the startup, check if the drivers are in the startup list.

Thanks guys for you suggestions, all fixed now. I'm not actually sure what did the trick because I downloaded some more drivers, had the pc search and install, installed sp3 for xp and left the pc on all night.
Rebooted this morning and everything, to my amazement is working fine on every reboot. Wierd.
