What is Ashampoo Snap ?

Ashampoo Snap 5 will revolutionize the way you make, edit and share snaps and videos of your screen content!

This program allows you to easily take screenshots of various regions, websites, or even specific windows on your desktop with just a few clicks.

In the user-friendly editing mode several tools are available for editing. Using those it’s easy to add images, notes, texts, markings, watermarks etc. to your screenshots.

Saving or exporting screenshots and videos is quickly done within the program. Just send an email, save your result to the clipboard or a file or just print it. Moreover, you can now upload your result directly to Facebook or YouTube.

New perspectives for video recording

This indispensable tool for every computer user also provides new opportunities for recording videos. Ashampoo Snap 5 does not only record your desktop, but also your webcam with mike to create video greetings, for example. Operating System: Windows XP, Windows Vista ( 32/64 ) , Windows 7 ( 32/64 )

Now let's see the ''real life'' .

1. Installation
- went quickly and smoothly .
- it was not necessary to reboot and everything was okay for KIS 2012 and WinPatrol .

[ ashampoo_snap_5_e5.1.3_sm.exe ----> 20,5 MB (21.512.960 bytes) ]



Installing the latest version .... 5.1.3 .



We can choose between Express and Custom installation ....



.... and we are ready for first launch :




2. At first launch the program we are prompted to enter the license .

We can get a 40 day trial license if we press ----> ''Get extended free trial license now''

or

We can enter the license .... if we have one ( Paste from Clipboard / Activate Now ) .




3. After a successful activation Ashampoo Snap 5 has started and I noticed two things :

a.) An icon has appeared in the taskbar .



b.) A bar appeared at the top of the screen .




4. Configuration

When we choose option ----> ''Configure'' ( right click on taskbar icon ) following screen appears :



For advanced configuration we should press ----> ''More Options'' .... and a new window opens . In this window we can see all the configurations that can be performed .

For example ----> Capture / Output ( left panel ) .... we can set :
- Output Format ( .bmp / .jpg / .png / .pdf ) ;
- Output Directory ;
- Output filename .




General settings :

- here we can set ----> Hotkeys for capture ''mode'' .




5. Now let's see what I did

I managed to do it very quickly (what can be seen in the picture above) .

[ Of course .... it can be done a lot more than I did . ]

While editing the capture .... three toolbars can be seen . I will show you two of them :

a.) on the right-hand side :

So .... that's it guys

At the end of this presentation , I can say that Ashampoo Snap 5 is a very good capture ''tool'' with which even a beginner can handle easily .

I must admit that I use Ashampoo Snap since version 3 and he never let me down .

Now I would like to say a big Thank you to Angela Woisch from Ashampoo GmbH & Co. KG who gave me 10 licenses of Ashampoo Snap 5 to give away to Raymond.CC forum members .

Also I must say a big Thank you to Marion Schäfer , from Ashampoo GmbH & Co. KG , who guided me to Angela Woisch .

Since I've used 1 ( one ) license ( for this thread ) .... 9 have remained to be given away .

Thanks for the nice giveaway.

I have been using it for quite some time now and I am mighty impressed with it. The interface is great and the best part is it doesn't come with unnecessary features. It is simple, easy to use and has got only those features that are required.

Since I already have it I'll skip this one... good luck to that participants
