    Immunet Protect 2.0.16.28 released

    Immunet Protect 2.0.16.28 released

    Immunet Protect v 2.0.16 in English has been released. Korean and Estonian updates will follow shortly. There have been several changes for this release, but not all of them are visible. The biggest change is the new Trial feature which will allow you to try Immunet Protect Plus for 14 days before you decide to purchase it.

    Changes:
    * Interface changes for the bootstrapper and installer to support trials; update of the colors and look & feel
    * UI and pop changes for trials (orange banner & days until expiration)
    * New license key dialog
    * Better validation of license keys when using the license dialog
    * Uninstall while connected to the cloud will de-register the license key so it can be re-install later
    * Crash fixes in both UI & agent
    * Some dialog boxes have been changed to avoid white on load
    * Change in Avira Exclusions
    * Uninstall no longer removes Tetra definitions by default, only if you choose not to re-install

    We're trying to get some updates for the translators tommorrow, but this may be pushed until next week (TBD).

    Upgrades will be offered through the product next week, but you can upgrade early by going to http://www.immunet.com, downloading the Free version, and installing over the existing Free or Plus version.

    Wow... Bitdefender detects it..!!! But I think.. Immunet white-listed it because Immunet Pro does not detect it.

    I rated it as a goodware in virustotal community. Do rate if you are concerned about it.

    Can Immunet Free be used in place of my Pctools threatfire for preventing realtime 0 day exploits?

    IMMUNET Protect is an antivirus, ThreatFire is a behavior blocker

    Have a look at Immunet forum
    it seems that BitDefender flags as malware files which are not detected by Immunet.
    I'm starting to think that Immunet is using an old BitDefender engine

    Thank you for confirmation sujay.
    When I tested IMMUNET protect plus 2.0.15, a releatively new malware sample (a rogue) was missed while BitDefender 2010 could easily take care of it.

    Well I'll go to immunet forum, I almost forgot I'm a member there and PEDERSEN asked me to improve the italian forum translation and I shall inform him
