    Microsoft Safety Scanner

    Hi,

    Microsoft Safety Scanner
    ----> Homepage
    The Microsoft Safety Scanner is a free downloadable security tool that provides on-demand scanning and helps remove viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It works with your existing antivirus software.
    Note:
    The Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To rerun a scan with the latest anti-malware definitions, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
    The Microsoft Safety Scanner is not a replacement for using an antivirus software program that provides ongoing protection.
    Best regards !

    Is Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool bigger brother, up-armed with further signatures and much more capable.

    I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

    Though this is only meant to be a secondary layer to an AV, it's nice to see M$ turning out some powerful security products
    BTW doesn't seem to need .NET framework.
