Downloaded Browser Defender and ran it on some of my safe sites and showed the sites where safe to browse, how it stands up i don't know as it's early testing at the moment but it does have web search and i will keep an eye on it to see how the ratings compare to WOT and Avast ratings as im running it on IE 8 at the moment and this is my first test.

Thanks Solin as for me it hasn't impacted browsing at the moment

Too many defenders will slow down browser performance. Enough with default blocking websites contained in the Antivirus, plus WOT and Adblock plus. That was more than enough.

@Jaycub, I'm using ESET contained web protection, but I had to turn off the web protection, because I also have using MBAM contained web blocking. When both are activated together, can sometimes conflict and one should be turned off. I assess MBAM better in this task.

Browser defender is nothing more than Norton Safeweb Lite and they both are connected to ask.com.

Not to count that the results are normally the same.
I personally would stay away from both of those toolbars since I do not want to send any personal identifiable information to an adware distributor

Appreciate the news Leo, ask.com gives me the shivers and if i had researched more i would have avoided it, PC tools are full of surprises of late. like the accidental e-mail they sent about their Internet Security and told me they made a mistake and offered privacy guardian.
