    Thanks solin. I have installed the updates, but only after making a new system image before hand.

    I think the shock value would be high if Windows had no updates, but such is life for windows users.. all in all i appreciate the heads up, even if i have a notification of updates.. on the bright side MS hasn't killed anything of late with win 7 updates.. the real objection is the space taken up and the alternative is Linux maybe.. we at least have an new O/S to look forward too..
    I would like to see it hardned against exploits, but it is too much to expect from experience.
