    Post How to install Windows 7 on AMD ?

    Hello Friends,

    I had installed windows 7 on my AMD PC
    The installation completed properly
    When i restarted my pc boot screen appeared ok but the desktop was blank (white) on booting

    Please help

    Windows 7 needs atleast 1GHz processor...check ur processor configuration....

    I looks like the graphics doesn't support the OS...Anyways post your PC specs here and then maybe we should be able to tell you.

    Chip type : Graphics is ATI Radeon X1200 series [0x791E]
    DAC type : Internal DAC [400Hz]
    Memory size : 700 mb
    Adapter string : ATI Radeon X1200 series

    I think all configuration is good.....

    Hi ruturaj i checked your graphics card on google and it is more than good enough to run windows 7...Try the install again and format the drive first from within the installation...
    did you do perform a clean install ?
    your specs are good enough...
    Have you performed any other modifications prior to installing windows 7 ?
    Hope we can help you sort this one out as there doesn't appear to be a reason why not.....

    The best advice would be to do a clean install imho....

    It might be bad sectors on the disk. Try running a chkdsk on it. (I say that because I had that happen once to me.)

    I think my HD drive get bad sector so i will be running chkdisk now

    Yeah I checked your graphic card too and it's OK. I'd suggest you to try a repair or a new clean install.
