Need help severely.

this is taken from a site that I visit. maybe anyone here can help me.

"IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We urgently require assistance! I have spent hours on our server and our server is extremely secure now. However, it appears we are under attack by a BotNet, targetting the httpd service (apache). This causes the site to become slow, and sometimes crashes either apache or MySQL.

We've installed several anti-ddos software, firewalls and we've even disabled ping requests to the server.

Unless we can find a solution to this problem, we will be forced to go offline as we cannot generate enough money to pay our $300 server fee.

If this happens, I can assure you that I will spend all of my available time taking down and crashing every site which I suspect, as I won't have any more time to spend on the forum.

I know absolutely NOTHING about servers since i have had zero experience with them, but there's this program called BlackIce Server Protection or something. From what i've read it's really good software. I'll post a link when i find it. Hope this helps.

Its ok, this problem was resolved. It is one of the warez sites I posted about a couple of days ago.
